Reverse painted portraitA lovely small Georgian reverse painted portrait on bubble glass of a young girl, early 1800's.
A rare type of portrait, these were made by transferring a print on the back of glass and then colouring in the translucent print on the back of the glass with paint.
Lovely faded soft colours and a gilded frame. Measures approx. 18,5 x 16,5 cms (glass measures approx. 11 x 9 cms).
