Painted chestAbsolutely stunning antique French painted chest, mid 19th century.
Gorgeous handpainted floral chest with beautiful soft colours. This is a large chest, it measures approx. 120 cms long, 54 cms wide and 50 cms tall.
Beautiful delicate painted flowers and ribbons with lots of detail. The chest itself is a lovely cream colour with amazing patina. The chest has a white base colour on which the flowers and ribbons are painted, the top coat is a transparant cream glaze, and it is this top coat that shows the (pretty) wear, which means that the painted flowers are still in amazing condition!
The chest is in very good condition, it is straight, closes perfectly, no wood worm.
