Child's bodice

Beautiful and rare antique Victorian child's bodice, ca. 1865.

Children's clothing from this era is very rare! The bodice has a ribbed velvet front and cuffs, the rest of the bodice is made in striped cotton. The velvet has kept it's rich deep green colour, no fading. The bodice closes with an impressive row of small braas, steel and enamel buttons, the buttons are really stunning and not a single one is missing. The bodice has short boning in the front. In very good condition, no holes or tears and very strong.

It measures approx. 54 cms at the waist and 66 cms at the bust, this size would be for a child of around 8 years old.
